Annual Giving (Membership)
Nothing has been more important to this orchestra than the dedicated people and businesses who make a donation each year. Everyone who makes a donation is considered a Sinfonietta "Members" and is recognized in an annual listing of donors, and this year will be also invited to a complementary members only reception during the summer! (Date & location to be announced soon!) As a 501c3, all donations to the Lake Placid Sinfonietta may be considered charitable contributions to the extent allowed by law.

Become an Annual Chair Sponsor
If you would like to 'climb to a higher mountain level' and honor a particular orchestra member, Annual Chair Sponsorships are available until June 15 (when the Program Book will be printed.) For an additional donation of $500, your name will be listed with your favorite musician in the program booklet, and we will arrange a photo with your sponsored player. Giving Options
- If you would like the tax benefit of donating appreciated stock, please call us and we can provide you with a form. We accept stock through an account at Long Run Wealth in Lake Placid.
- The Sinfonietta can accept Qualified IRA distributions.
- The Lake Placid Sinfonietta participates in Amazon Smiles , receiving a small % of what you spend. When you shop Amazon, search for Amazon Smiles as you would a product. You can choose the Sinfonietta (or another charity) to receive a donation based on what you spend! (This does not impact the cost of your order)
- We are pleased to process matching gift donations.
Gifts to Endowment
The Lake Placid Sinfonietta maintains an endowment fund, the Second Century Fund, and donations to endowment are accepted at any time. Currently, the board managed endowment fund is held at TIAA. The orchestra also has a sustaining fund at the Adirondack Foundation. We would be pleased to arrange a personal meeting to answer your questions about donating to endowment, endowed chairs, bequests, or any type of planned giving. Adopted financial policies, 990 tax returns and Audited financial statements are available on request.
Volunteer
The Lake Placid Sinfonietta Guild is a wonderful core of volunteers who assist with concert hospitality, selling raffle tickets at park concerts, and fundraising to support the orchestra. To participate, please contact the Sinfonietta office at 518-523-2051 to be referred to the Guild Chair who will coordinate how best to use your skills.
