John Nicholson - Narrator

John Nicholson will appear as the narrator in "L'Histoire du Soldat" presented in collaboration with Pendragon Theatre

 

Regional credits include Malcolm, Macbeth; George Kittredge, The Philadelphia Story; Dumain, All’s Well That Ends Well; and Laurent, Tartuffe (Court Theatre, Chicago); Dr. Kyle, Sarcophagus (world premiere); Dick Wilkins/Yet to Come, A Christmas Carol; and Soldier, Coriolanus (McCarter Theatre, Princeton); Horster, An Enemy of the People; Polixenes, Winter’s Tale; and Yolland, Translations (American Players Theatre, Spring Green); Proculeius, Antony and Cleopatra; and Prologue, Roman Fever (Shakespeare and Company, Lenox); Vincent Van Gogh, A Bed Beneath The Stars (The Art Institute of Chicago); Tybalt, Romeo and Juliet; Proteus, Two Gentlemen of Verona; and Julius Caesar (Kentucky Shakespeare Festival, Louisville); Antipholus of Ephesus, Comedy of Errors (NextAct, Milwaukee). John co-founded and was resident director for Chicago’s the Cypress Group, where he staged Coming Back (world premiere); Together, Alone, Together; and The Sea. For the Art Institute of Chicago’s “Voices” Program, John directed new works A Bed Beneath The Stars and My Walls. Assistant director credits include Design for Living and Summer and Smoke (Touchstone, Chicago). For the past three years John has served as Director of Communications for North Country School in Lake Placid. John received his MFA from the professional actor training program at Temple University.
